Juan Soto of the Yankees had an MVP caliber season, but finished 2nd behind Aaron Judge

Freddie Freeman had a very good regular season, although it was not MVP caliber.
Freeman had 153 hits, 81 runs scored, 22 home runs, 89 RBI and a .282 batting average.
Then came the World Series, where Freeman hit a walk off game winning grand slam to win game one
and finished the series with 4 home runs and 12 RBI to earn the World Series Most Valuable Player Award.
Tarik Skubal of the Detroit Tigers is the winner of the American League Cy Young Award
Skubal won 18 games, lost 4, with a 2.39 ERA, with 228 strikeouts in 192 innings pitched.
Chris Sale of the Atlanta Braves is the winner of the National League Cy Young Award
Sale won 18 games, lost 4, with a 2.38 ERA, with 225 strikeouts in 177 innings pitched.
The last time lefthanded pitchers won both the NL and the AL Cy Young Awards was in 2002,
when Randy Johnson of the Dbacks won the NL award and Barry Zito of the Athletics won the AL award.
